NORMAN, OK – A man drowned in Lake Thunderbird on Thursday, reports KOCO.

According to Highway Patrol, Michael Taliaferro, 25, was swimming at the lake around 4 p.m. Taliaferro was using a swim aid of some sort because he was not confident in his swimming ability. He became separated from the swimming aid and went under the surface of the lake. He resurfaced once before going back under and drowning.
